Pre-Production
During the making of our sequence the pre-production was essentially is guaranteeing that the production runs through smoothly and we are ultimately prepared from anything. The uses of online, software and hardware serves at offer for us to use allowed us much freedom and let us access to connection and larger scale research and planning
Online
The first use of online technology we used was WhatsApp by creating a group chat with the members of our media group. We did this to keep a regular flow of communication through images, links, voice memos and texts. The combination of this online tech being on the hardware of our phone is also a form of integrated tech but also is useful as we always have our phone on us. The app came in handy as we could collaborate with ideas we had instantly and through videos and images. Whatsapp was also very helpful when Both Alice and I had Covid for a period of time so we used the group chat for communication.
Youtube is a highly popular online form so I used this as a source of research on my phone and laptop, both forms of hardware. I used this platforms for many research and planning posts I made but a specific example would be researching how to create bruising and bloodied makeup videos on YouTube (tutorials). These tutorials helped guided my group to creating a realistic look our target audience that love gore would believe and buy into. I also used YouTube as a platform to upload any video project we did so that I and others could gain access to them easily and be embedded into my blog. A example of these video post was a dialogue scene we made for documenting development, we fit ned on a black Magic Mini URSA camera and edited on Adobe Premier pro so after everything uploading it on YouTube to keep it available was very important.
Blogger became a key part of online tech in the development of our opening as it is the journal of all of the practical work and research I have done over time. This came in useful when I had to take note of my research or look back at plans and other information when working later on. The whole progression of the making of the opening is on blogger from the original ideas to the workshops to the research of similar products. All of this information being in one place keeps track of the progression and keeps all of the work I have done in place so the making of the opening went smooth. ​
Hardware
Laptops
The hardware I used during pre-production was my laptop(MacBook Air) as it allows a vary of different resources I can access that are useful in terms of research and planning and also connecting with my group and other contacts. As I can essentially travel with my laptop I used it for many things such as emailing actors and crew on outlook and being a blue to quickly look anything up. Other aspect the apples MacBook offers is WhatsApp(online) on download, Airdrop and other feature that allowed me larger range to contact those I was around.
Mobile Phones
As our mobile phones were always on us it became one of the key ways my production group communicated. My phone is an apple Xs so it includes many feature that allows research and communication to be smoother. I often used the camera on my phone to capture key moments I need for documenting as it was good quality and fast(usually during workshops or shoot days), I also used screenshots as source to capture information. I was also able to download apps to make some planning processes easier such as a mood board template app I used to help create a mood board for our opening.

Software
The only use of software I can note would be the use of google and google slides during the planning part of my pre-production stage. I used google slides as a way of presenting the ideas and astetic I wanted for our film opening in an organised and structured way. This comes down to costume, plot, actors, setting - everything was laid out with photos and description. This format made it easier to present the ideas to other groups but also helped us track the progress and stay organised and comprised with what we wanted fro the film. The fact that they’re can be multiple editors on google slides was very helpful as it allowed an overall group collaboration.
